--insecure is needed for testing and it is documented enough. IIRC you even get a warning when you use it.

People don't read documentation. They copy/paste snippets, or add --insecure to get rid of errors because curl tells them to.

I think removing the message will make the tool unusable in valid use cases, such as self signed certs/dev environments
