Spamhaus is demanding an open DNS resolver to censor traffic. That is not good. https://lists.opennicproject.org/sympa/arc/discuss/2017-01/msg00016.html …

Not censor. They are requesting them to deny service to a botnet c&c, or they will be blacklisted. I agree spamhaus is being unreasonable.

I agree. Denying service to a botnet is bad. How are criminals supposed to make a living! No to censoring crime botnets!

please. They are denying service to an open DNS service by blacklisting them. How is that good? + This kills their SBL quality.

is the open DNS service providing service to a botnet c&c? Sounds like it is being intentionally used by a botnet.

I used Spamhaus on my mail servers once, but stopped. Their SBL causes tons of absurd denials of service, not usable.

So what do you use instead, or do you just like getting spam?

I have stopped using Spamhaus years ago, the day they DoSed my mail server. postcreen, bogofilter. No RBL, they're crap.

+1. RBLs have become useless a long time ago, and do more harm than good. https://rspamd.com/ works pretty well.
