In regards to Apple's security flaw: Google "dnscrypt" & use it. Problem solved.
@Sestino DNS hijacking is not required to exploit this. A malicious router can redirect your packets to any IP no matter what.

@jedisct1 an attacker can't spoof the necessary SSL certificate if they don't know where your traffic is going b/c dns was encrypted. -
