It’s an analogy to CDH, but it’s a bit out of the blue. What I want to explain is that you can’t passively MITM the protocol.

Plus, the analogy doesn’t apply to KEMs. This is one of the cases where explaining the math and describing toy protocols may actually be clearer.

Do we really need an analogy? (g^a)^b ≡ (g^b)^a would be pretty clear to everyone and colors or eggs or soda have little to do with the hardness of the DL problem.
