The JS world often doesn’t even use a consistent utility library like lodash for all useful functions; instead, there are dozens of modules consisting only of a function to check whether a variable is an object.

If anything, you could try to get it into lodash, but I’m pretty sure that will fail too.

What’s wrong with having it just as a separate module? Visibility? Because JS people *love* separate modules, and hate functions they don’t need, because size matters a lot (and dead code elim. isn’t ubiquitous)

As I alluded in my very first message, there are many ways we can address the deficiency of the JS ecosystem and I only proposed the simplest and most surefire strategy.

Getting a lot of people to use my thing (instead of something that begs users to make their apps vulnerable to Vaudenay's attack in 2019) requires a lot of advocacy/evangelism that I frankly don't have the time, energy, or money for.

Hell, I can't even get anything to the front page of Hacker News or the top of a relevant subreddit. (In the latter case, anything I submit anywhere gets instantly downvoted.)

I understand. And don't get me wrong, I like your work. I just want to set the expectations. Just to illustrate my point: this is the size of React, and many people in JS think React is bloated, and resort to smaller alternatives.pic.twitter.com/Lyc5ryOErJ

JavaScript wrappers for Wasm-crypto are coming. If I ever find time to write them.
