only looking now at the list of lightweight ciphers submitted to NIST (https://csrc.nist.gov/Projects/Lightweight-Cryptography/Round-1-Candidates …); 10 years ago I'd have been super excited, now I'm out of this game and see this exercise of style as a waste of energy
