Ignoring PHP and JS developers is the biggest mistake we made. They are the main people who need cryptography.

I totally agree, but when someone doesn't care and actively chooses not to care it's hard to help them. I agree that they need help though. But the people in the PHP community needs to start helping first imo.

PHP developers are trying to help. PHP now has a decent RNG, removed shady libraries, has libsodium in its standard library, and well-designed 3rd party packages to help with common tasks.
