Nobody needs American tech companies like cloudflare, google, ibm, or cisco to provide dns to us. We can just run it locally -- far more private.

Heh, so I looked at your profile. Now I know what you know what you are talking about. So serious question, wouldn't running your own DNS server still leak all your DNS queries to your internet provider?

My ISP has my identity, and has a business model for selling my activity to the higher bidder. (I used to work in telecom.) It's also the first place legal teams go. I'm not married to Cloudflare, they are just the first to provide DoH.

First was probably http://doh.crypto.sx even though it was using Cloudflare as a frontend.
