All 3 of these sound good. It's ludicrous that it's impossible to write a conformant malloc() in the current standard. As if the spec writers forgot this is C, and thought they were spec'ing an even higher level language. The saner treatment of UB is a must.

Failing that, undefined behavior should be reclassed as implementation defined - the compiler must still translate it, and optimizer can't elide it.
