MTFTP, my port of PureFTPd will be opensourced next week and will be announced here when released. It supports both 32 and 64-bit devices and comes in the handy form of a dylib. It can run as root in jailbroken contexts or as mobile in sandboxed non-jailbroken iOS devices.
How did you deal with the absence of fork()? There was an iOS port in a “threaded” branch that made everything thread-safe instead, but I haven’t updated it for a while.

I used NeXTTY’s core implementation of fake processes. At this time that code is closed source except for Patrons but one day it will be opensourced.

NeXTTY is a terminal emulator for iOS supporting a modular way of loading extensions in dylib form to install more commands, serverside functionality for debugging, proxying, sharing and development and an abstract kernellike core in sandboxed userland
