DNS over HTTPS is starting to look more like "DNS over people that would like to know more about you, 24/7".
I predict a future where DNS will be irrelevant to most people. We will just use a Google/OVH/AWS/Amazon/... proxy for everything. People will love it because it will make things faster especially on mobile.

That’s not actually how things work. How do you think you reach Google? How do you think Google knows about anything else? The truth is that DNS is becoming MORE critical, since it’s the foundation DNSSEC and DANE build upon.
