I'm a great fan of capitalism (indeed, I wrote a book on it). But this is really shoddy by @Dannythefink, who usually does a better job of understanding the opposing arguments.https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/enemies-of-capitalism-have-no-place-in-school-tdr7wt6xs …

As others have pointed out, this implies that the (Clause IV) Labour Party would have banned from providing materials for schools, while the Conservative Party wouldn't. *Obviously* @Dannythefink (who is a liberal) doesn't think that's remotely acceptable. So why claim it is?pic.twitter.com/lg0UK8Hx1f

Equally, it's just disingenuous to ignore the fact that the advocacy of non-violent civil disobedience is also classified as an "extreme political stance", and organisations advocating it are to be proscribed. Again @Dannythefink doesn't believe that's acceptable. So why ignore?

Your appraisal is far more magnanimous than mine would've been.

It’s always worth remembering he is an activist for the conservatives, what ever he writes or opinions on has to be seen in that context there is it seems few positions that he won’t assume for the cause no matter how contradictory or unsavoury

Funny. There are so many religious schools. And I remember what is in the book when Jesus expelled the merchants...

Isn’t all that stuff about camels/needles and the meek inheriting about us accepting our place on earth? Not questioning our ‘betters’?

If capitalism is so great why do they always need socialism to get it out of a crisis every ten years?

Surely teaching is about giving children all the information and teaching them to think. You would not argue about teaching the negatives of communism for example - teaching is different from indoctrination that critics try to stop teaching is a reflection of their prejudices

Danny was on the board of the far right Islamophobic Gatestone Institute for what? 3 years? Also invited them to the HoL.
