1) About to start writing our weekly "That's Our Two Satoshis" crypto market recap (available via @arca at https://www.ar.ca/blog ). This usually takes me 2 hours to write, but involves a lot of setup during the week.
For those interested in writing more, here's how I do it:
-

-
2) I take notes throughout the week on literally EVERYTHING I find interesting or relevant (I use
@mondaydotcom). This can be links to tweets/articles (I always credit), things I overhear on our trading desk, or random thoughts that pop into my head.0 proslijeđenih tweetova 6 korisnika označava da im se sviđaPrikaži ovu nit -
3) Sometimes these notes are timely events and therefore it will either be used immediately, or will be discarded. Other times the ideas are timeless and they may stay in the "vault" for months until it fits a theme or I'm desperate for an idea (I call it my "rainy day" ideas).

4) There are tons of sources that provide me with data, tidbits, and ideas, but shout out to a few that I never miss b/c they really help make me think: The daily newsletter from
@APompliano &@twobitidiot and the weekly write-ups from@Delphi_Digital and@nlw.1 reply 2 proslijeđena tweeta 11 korisnika označava da im se sviđaPrikaži ovu nit -
5) On Sunday morning, I organize these notes by themes -- meaning, I try to find 1-3 themes that best encapsulates a few different things that I've jotted down. Once I have my themes, I think about those themes throughout the rest of the day, and how best to form a narrative.

6) Finally, I start writing. Since I already have my themes, my sources / links, and a few notes written, physically writing it is usually easy. Some weeks are better than others, but like a baseball closer or a cornerback... once it's over, you have to move on to the next one.

6) This week's themes are: a) The crypto "loser" rally (which I already alluded to here https://twitter.com/jdorman81/status/1217459586724061194?s=20 …) b) Inflation and debt are ugly beasts -- when and how does this end? Sign up here to read it when it's posted https://www.ar.ca/newsletter

For those wondering WHY I write, I’ve been doing this for 20 years, since I was a 1st year Inv Banking analyst at Lehman. Writing is part of my investment process. Sure it doubles as good marketing, but more importantly, it helps me filter, process & understand markets better.

Per earlier foreshadowing... here is the result of this week’s writing process. https://www.ar.ca/blog/crypto-market-recap-01-21-20 … (Took about 2.5 hours to write this one — it’s a bit longer than usual)

Sorry, what's the red highlighting indicate? The chart title leads one to believe those are the high YTD performers, but poor last 12mo performerspic.twitter.com/G5wCkxOGVh

Yeah. Waiting on Messari to add a “2019 return” column... for now I just used “last 12 months” which includes the rally these past 3 weeks. So my point is even with a massive rally these past 3 weeks, most of these projects still haven’t performed.
