The story we receive is that women endure the pain & inconvenience of menstrual periods for years, but it will end at menopause.
So, women enduring discomfort is established as the norm in our teens, &, other than hot flashes, menopause is presented as an escape from it.

It’s not just “not important,” it seems to be intentional, as though deserved bc the lady in the book took a bite of an apple. I mean, a sadist tortured female slaves with gynological experiments to become “the father of gynecology.” We’re beyond “suggestion” here.

Of course women's suffering is discounted. In this scaldingly Christian country it is Eve's punishment
