@jdanbishop Are there protections in NC law to prevent the elderly from being abused like this?!
Simply can’t believe this is allowed anywhere in this country.

Interesting story. I have had conversations with Rick Black, mentioned in the article. I think 2 things: (1) there are probably 2 sides to many of those stories; but, (2) the law needs a good look and probably changes. Not aware of booming private guardian practice in NC.

Good to here it’s not booming here need to make sure it doesn’t in the future. No doubt there’s often two sides, but ripping folks from their home like that is unconscionable.
