I don't like proxy voting, but I'm not opposed to voting and meeting remotely for true national emergencies. 9/11 (when Congress could've been decimated) made me think about allowing members to do that. The technology is there, we just need to get over ourselves.

(1/2) No, I'm not defending Pelosi and proxy voting is unconstitutional. I do think, however, that Members of Congress should meet & vote regularly from their districts so they wouldn't have to maintain two houses, so Congress would be scattered in an emergency...

(2/2) Not every congressman votes in accordance with their districts the way you do. We had one, Eric Cantor, who got Beltway Fever. Had he been "grounded" in Glen Allen, VA voting & meeting remotely, he would've voted more Broad St. & less K St. and would still be there now.
