Blows my mind every day how this society operates under the lie that there isn't enough. We throw away tons of food, we have more empty houses than homeless people, and our landfills are full of clothing and furniture.

We're at a point where we believe throwing something away is better than giving it to someone because we think to ourselves, "I worked for mine, why do you get yours for free?" We're a selfish society created by years of capitalistic strategies to convince people to buy things.

That's part of the trick. By being rich, you are somehow retroactively determined to be one of the "hard workers". Otherwise, how could you be rich? O_o That's the big con pulled on us in our society.
