unrestrained capitalism is both corrosive of democracy and civil society and produces forces that themselves destabilize and threaten a liberal, rights-based order. have to address the former to preserve the latter.

it’s more that i don’t think insights from the study of “racial capitalism” have really penetrated mainstream thinking yet, if they ever will!
