Thanks. But SB 50 wouldn't have changed the value of my home (all paid off). It also wouldn't have reduced the cost of housing. The problem is CA businesses aren't paying their people enough to live where they work. Don't come to the SF Bay Area unless you can.

The entire LA senate delagation voted no, with Long Beach’s senator voting yes. Los Angeles and it’s wealthy exurbs effectively run statewide housing policy.

Major props to
@SenGonzalez_33 for a brave vote today. - Još 1 odgovor

I am a wealthy Bay Area homeowner. there are many of us (especially immigrants and new comers) who support density and who vote for every single pro-housing thing that comes our way. I don't want my state to be exclusively a retirement community, but apparently that's the goal

I want more housing, not "4-story building", but real dense housing. I want infrastructure, I want a modern state that can keep the lights on and have public transportation. We are a wealthy state, we have high taxes and we should be doing better.

The NIMBY-Leftist alliance against housing in this state is utterly maddening
