It turns out that mention of the sequencing project in question (PRJNA612766) also disappeared from China National GeneBank (CNGB) shortly after it was removed from the NIH Sequence Read Archive. (2/n)

Looking at this too: https://virological.org/t/early-appearance-of-two-distinct-genomic-lineages-of-sars-cov-2-in-different-wuhan-wildlife-markets-suggests-sars-cov-2-has-a-natural-origin/691 … Lineage B from Huanan market shows lower sample variation, pointing to superspreader event, but more mutations away from bat CoV outgroup. Lineage A has more sample variation but less mutations away. Very odd.
