Yeah, even if we accept that police unions "perpetuate class inequity," they are still "public sector unions" by any objective standard.

I guess if we want to hash it out literally, police and COs are employed by the state, making them "public sector" employees. But if we are talking about class consciousness, I don't think pro-union politics necessitates supporting police unions. Police maintain class hierarchy.

well to be fair it did show us that Beto: -opposed police unions while on city council -opposed them primarily on the basis of fiscal efficiency, not unjust outcomes of police unions -opposed public unions generally: "The public sector is a completely different situation."
