In this case, it was Justin Walker. He's 37. He's never tried a case in court -- as lead or co-counsel. Walker is the FIFTH Trump judge that Senate Republicans have confirmed with an abysmal "not qualified" rating by the ABA. Why was Justin Walker even nominated to be a lifetime federal judge if he isn't qualified? Because Mitch McConnell personally recommended him to the White House to be confirmed.
McConnell called Walker "unquestionably the most outstanding nomination that I’ve ever recommended to Presidents to serve on the bench in Kentucky. The guy was rated "not qualified" to be a judge!
Justin Walker's background: He's an associate law professor + previously clerked for Brett Kavanaugh, who he went out of his way to defend against Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault allegations.

Is there anything that can be done at a future date? These unqualified "judges" will wreak havoc for decades. Not just ideological havoc - reversals on improper procedures, etc.
I believe the only thing that could be done is impeachment. But that is, as you can imagine, pretty rare.
Every American should be pushing to end lifetime appointments. There is no rational justification for it; and undoing it will bring balance back to judicial democracy.
