Elizabeth Warren just endorsed 2 progressive primary challengers to conservative incumbent House Dems: Jessica Cisneros, who is challenging Rep. Cuellar, and Marie Newman, who is challenging Rep. Lipinski. More headaches for DCCC.
Speaking of the Lipinski-Newman race, I spent some time in their Illinois district to test the theory that this district has moved to the left from right under Lipinski's feet. Good. Marie Newman would be a fantastic upgrade from anti choice Dan Lipinski! She was so close last time.
Two reps that are far more conservative than their districts. Not sure that is a big problem considering (especially in Lipinski's case) the number of outside groups lining up against them.
Lipinski is not more conservative than his district. That’s why he keeps getting re-elected. I lived much of my life in that district.
