In any year prior to 2016, I think Democrats would know how to run a campaign against a nominee who had taken multiple congressional votes to cut Medicare, Medicaid, and federal funding for education and law enforcement.

They also know the phone number of one of the suspects, but still can't ID a person. I assume this means there will be arrests sooner or later, but it feels weird to announce this all publicly with no suspect.
