folks speaking on condition of anonymity say they were waiting for their corporate colleagues at Access to publish first
-
-
-
Uh-huh. And what was Access doing? The Post received the tape, vetted it, called for comment and published it in five hours.
-
isn't access on tv - a linear format? They can't just "go" like Farenthold can

I've said it before - Legal issues may be preventing
@NBCNews &/or Mark Burnett Productions from saying anything… -
That's the Apprentice. NBC/Universal owns Access Hollywood.
-
Point remains the same. Access Hollywood is NBC Entertainment - NOT NBC News. Two different entities, depending on contract.
-
Those are completely different points. Not the same at all.
-
The point is the same, actually. Depending on contacts & lawyers, NBC News may not be authorized to talk about it at all…
-
And in fact, they may be prevented from talking about it.
-
After all, both situations are w sister companies of NBC News thru NBCU. They can't knowingly damage those w/out permission.
-
So the questions really should be aimed at NBCU execs - who I'm certain will not answer squat.

@cliffbaker9@NBCNews And why won't they release the relevant outtakes of#TheApprentice? -
They say don't own that. The producer Mark Burnett does. But they could put pressure on him to release.
-
the hypocrisy:Mark Burnett & his wife are known as the "Christian mega-couple" behind Bible miniseries & Ben Hur.

Even if they knew it existed it was the property of Burnett's production company.
-
You're wrong. That's the Apprentice.pic.twitter.com/uswW0uffzT
-
D'oh. You're right. But access Hollywood was a separate production company. I heard. I could be wrong again.
