tbh it's way better than someone saying "glitch". And yes, configuration files are so ubiquitous to technical people that they likely assume (incorrectly) that everyone knows what it means.

. The real problem here is that the "faulty configuration change" not only broke access to Facebook's Domain Name System externally (to the outside world) but also internally so that remote maintenance was prevented and direct physical access to affected routers was the only fix
