I won't bother with the general desperation of this. The key point is that the central premise, that we approved and rolled out the vaccine quicker because we'd left the EU, is utter cobblers. We could have done it at speed in the EU too. Have a link: fullfact.org/health/coronav

Time to turn the tables on the gloom-mongers, and exploit the benefits of Brexit. Remember that vaccine rollout! Happy Brexit Day!

But what's really going here is BJ2: The Return. But yeah, *desperate* stuff: "Hi folks, remember how I saved you by cooking up the vaccine in my kitchen, after telling Vlad to bugger off? Smell that? That's the earthy aroma of pure BREXIT."

The roll out was hugely supported by volunteers too…… unpaid workforce, stepping in for the greater good. Unpaid, in waged, ie, not raking in a massive profit at the expense of the many

Indeed we were still complying with all EU rules and regulations at the start of the vaccine rollout because we'd not legally left the EU until the following January.

As the well-known Roman philosopher Meghanus Trainorus (that I know a Latin expert like Johnson will have studied at school) once said: 'If your lips are moving, if your lips are moving If your lips are moving, then you're lyin', lyin', lyin', baby'

The vaccine rollout was impressive - UK got going quicker than others - but they caught up and fewer people died than here - Johnson made monumental mistakes at the start and for the 2nd wave but wants credit for the vaccine rolled out by others

As someone with 35 years experience of drug regulations I can confirm that these claims about Brexit helping quicker approval and roll out of the vaccine is a complete lie
