i agree but i think if we differentiate non face to face sex work it would be viewed as morally superior. it’s well recognized in the sw community that all work is not the same but i think a key to destigmatization is to keep a vast definition of sw for greater representation

I agree, I just think it depends on the context of the conversation bc while some experiences can be shared there are some that only one group faces. So talking about sw in general I think it’s fine but in convos of oppression I think the distinction is necessary

so have you ever seen any sex workers talk about the importance of solidarity in reducing stigma as to why they consider "e girls" sex workers too or is this just 100% idle civilian musing

the comment about using some standard real life sex worker terms based on services would go a long way in making the distinction to people who are already familiar w those terms but i think the blanket term is so popular partially bc of the reason you mentioned and also

it's a way to note that you offer services without having to plaster your menu and pricing upfront, especially considering the legality, etc. idk I'm torn but i also agree w you
