This is the most powerful article you will read this week. Warning: it contains graphic depictions of the damage that an AR-15 does to the human body. We must find a way of restricting access only to those qualified/certified/licensed to use them. #TxLege

"Don't ever give up. Don't ever give in. Don't ever stop trying. Don't ever sell out. And if you find yourself succumbing to one of the above for a brief moment, pick yourself up, brush yourself off, whisper a prayer, and start where you left off. But never, ever give up."

Rep. Bhojani is one of the merriest freshmen in the #txlege this session. We’re about to start hitting the bill passing part of the session when folks may start getting mad at each other, but he’s brought the positive vibes hard early on. One of those ppl who’s hard not to like.

She is as beautiful today as the day she was when I first met her. Testifying this morning on #HB19 - that will create the first specialized business court in Texas history. It’s great to be back. #TxLege.

The lack of Latinos on corporate boards of major US companies is striking.

When it comes to powerful corporate boards, said Esther Aguilera, chief executive of the Latino Corporate Directors Assn., “We’re not in the room. We’re not even in the darn elevator.” @margotroosevelt reports: latimes.com/business/story

That’s not the case at all. Just as you would want a specialized court to handle probate matters or family law issues, why not a business court?

Replying to @JasonVillalba @gregabbott and @DadePhelan
They believe our elected judges aren’t smart enough to handle commercial cases. I for one have confidence in our ejected judges. Special courts for special people. Completely unnecessary.

The Business Courts bill proposed this session by the brilliant & thoughtful Andrew Murr (HB19), a bill I originally proposed in 2015, may change the way Texans do business. Special thanks to and ⁦⁩ for making it a priority.
