Gene Park is a great writer, but I get the impression he's going to be a one man show and has been handed the digital age newspaper adage of "do more with less." Seems a shame.

We recommend avoiding general and often dehumanizing “the” labels such as the poor, the mentally ill, the French, the disabled, the college-educated. Instead, use wording such as people with mental illnesses. And use these descriptions only when clearly relevant.

Looks like D Light Cafe in AdMo was robbed last night 😔 This is a wonderful spot run some really nice Ukrainians in DC who have done a lot to raise awareness and money for war relief - let’s all make sure to support them when they’re able to reopen.

I gotta say, kudos to Adam Goldman for actually eating a sandwich on the streets of Capitol Hill while James O'Keefe harasses him and calls him names. Does O'Keefe actually think Adam is the one who comes off badly here?

If you say you want a younger more diverse audience, actually invest in the people and initiatives effective at building one. Don’t keep pushing out and stymieing the careers of those who do it well and complain you aren’t reaching new people

comes as HBO announces The Last Of Us show raking in some of its largest viewership numbers in its history there IS an audience in mainstream gaming journalism, so this is a bummer

Layoffs are hitting WaPo today. The Guild has emailed members: "We have good reason to believe that the number of people affected is far smaller than what Fred Ryan initially alluded to at the town hall." Guild adds any cuts are "unacceptable" during "time of continued growth."
