A company embracing crunch culture doesn't make it evil or malicious or an industry villain. But I've never seen so many people jumping through hoops to try to deny or underplay reality the way they're doing for CD Projekt Red and Cyberpunk 2077
To clear up another point, I asked a couple of CDPR devs if it’s true that the majority of them wanted six-day weeks over a delay. They said that conversation never took place. One: “We got the email and then a meeting with our team leaders. It was never an option or question”

No, we didn’t say anything about us, we said what Devs told us and tried to point out a cultural difference that other resorts didn’t include. There were thousands of articles that reached, we weren’t talking about Jason’s initial coverage, what it spawned and how it spread

Many employees are hired as contractors to get around that law. Pretty sure this is mentioned in the original article.
They dont want to believe that CDPR could possibly be at fault for anything. Gamers have an inherent bias towards certain companies, that much we know. Tho it’s disappointing to see all those dunking on Naughty dog defending cdpr, kinda makes me feel as if they never really cared
CDPR gets shit on for something that the whole industry does and that cant really by eliminated. Crunch will always exist, no matter how big the project is or how much time the developers have. Crunch time is also paid well by CDPR and the workers do this on their own.
