More news: Blizzard also quietly shut down its office in The Hague, Netherlands earlier this year, employees told Bloomberg. An Activision Blizzard spokesperson confirmed the closure this afternoon.

They may go up because of decreasing costs (that is what investors read). They may go down because of bad image (that is what gamers read). I am both, and paying close attention on how to handle this.... :3

Any idea what games those offices used to make?

None. Blizz's devs are all in California. In Versailles, they did localization (translate game content and news/blogs) and customer relationship management (organization, European events e.g. Gamescom, support, forum moderation, etc) for EU/Russia. They invited me there once :(
