I've also talked to dozens of current and former R* employees and am still working on a larger story, so please stay tuned for that one.

this feels like the slimiest astroturfing campaign given r*'s track record

You have permission to speak on social media about your work conditions (only if they are good things)

Nope. We were told we could say good and bad things and not to sugarcoat anything.

So all this controversy around Rockstar was much a do about nothing? Turns out the devs haven't been working anywhere close to 100 hour weeks. Standards have been improving over time? I know crunch isn't fun, but is there really a problem in this case? idk :/

it's not about nothing , its about Crunch .

This whole story is incredibly interesting. The question now will be are these testimonials actually true when you have former employees saying the opposite. Could it be that the company has changed over the years?
-
Current and former employees have told me lots of different things. Rockstar is a complicated company, and one's experiences might differ drastically depending on their office, their department, and their managers.

This looks really bad. Even if HR didn't explicitly say employees could only say good things, I'm sure most of the employees have bad things to say feel like their job would be in danger if they actually said it.
