    I love when designing and implementing an API feels like an act of care for people who will use it. Let me sort this list, that'll help people get the big picture. Let me rename this key so it isn't easily misspelled. Let me group this stuff together so it makes more sense.

    so excited about :) Been working super hard on it with . MAG data as a base, but extra cool data elements and will be a lot easier to use. I think you are all going to really like it :) lots more to do before ships jan 3rd, but it is getting there!

    will shut down in March. Post doesn't mention the Facebook➞Meta rebrand, but surely related. Another great example of why we need POSI for open infrastructure.

    This is exactly what 'big journal' want us to think about : too expensive, a failure. What they don't want us to know: green OA is a thing 🟢 you can freely archive your pre-print at a non-profit repository, e.g. Free for anyone to read, forever

    people realizing that 3000 euro/dollar to get an article publish is a lot, should realize that others have been paying for that for them when they published for free in a paywall journal. just saying.

    Some people like cute titles for econ papers, others hate them. Some prefer detailed, explanatory titles. But we all know the real power move is a 1-word title. 🧵

    If you'd asked me to guess popular opinion on these, I'd have been WAY off on many of them...seems I'm over-weighting the opinions of my own echo chamber.

    Amazon has the highest favorability ratings of any institution in the country except for the U.S. Military 🤯

    So true. will avoid these problems--it's a core activity for our us, and we'll be pursuing a sustainability plan from day one. Also: the data will be free, and the source code will be open and easily forked by others.

    Discontinuation of shows the fragility of infrastructures that depend on the goodwill of companies for which creating and maintaining these infrastructures does not represent a core activity, and does not bring in significant revenues
