How do you evaluate "most risk without putting everything at risk"?
-
Can’t answer that in a Tweet, but if it could put the business out of business if I made the wrong call, that would be too much risk for me.

As a dad, I completely relate to this statement, but I honestly love that it can't be a perfectly calculated risk. Those moments are when I feel the most human/alive and the possibility of failing and having to adapt is just a small part of it.

Totally agree!

Serendipitous timing on the tweet. I needed the reminder and perspective for a hard biz decision I am tasked with now. Thanks

Knowing what’s worth risking and what isn’t is a good skill in itself.

We can't trust the decisions we make until we can see the results of that decision. Even if it is about the kids or about a new feature in a software. The evaluation from your kid or your customers will later on tell you if you could trust yourself on that particular decision.

“The most risk without putting everything at risk” is a very good way to explain my MO for this entire summer. Thanks for articulating that threshold for me.
