Fact check: charging an EV at home is way cheaper than buying gasoline. My numbers are less than a third of what's quoted in the article. EVs are roughly 3x more efficient, which will roughly translate to 3x less energy costs. They're still more expensive to buy.
I haven’t watched, but after reading the description I like to imagine 90 lb specimens like myself getting absolutely worked by real athletes.
Idk what should come after Olympians & bodybuilders but it’s not influencers! 😂
I spent ~$2500 on this thing. Felt insane at the time, but it has lasted me eight years of near-flawless use. It’s finally starting to lose support for the latest updates I use, but what a run. Worth every penny, especially considering the reliability.
I used to avoid anything Apple related. This is a 2013 Macbook Pro that I bought used, and it still works wonderfully. Honestly it’s unbelievable a 10 year old computer still runs so well.
With the new M2 chips, I think it’s time to finally upgrade.
Companies who send their 1099s out before the end of January - y'all the MVPs (okay, it's legally required but plenty seem to ignore this).
Another year, another "what do I actually owe in taxes because there's no way to predict this" roll of the dice!
Most car companies shrug or say “it will get better” when you ask about their charging plans, with basically no resources dedicated to improving the experience.
I’d love a different EV, but hate how inconsistent the charging experience is. It never even crosses my mind in my 3.
“Tesla’s only advantage is charging” seems to be thrown around a lot now, but as they’re the only company actually trying it’s a massive advantage.
Charging is a pretty significant part of the equation; it’s very easy to understand why people choose alternatives.
The worlds most efficient car? I had the chance to discuss EQXX with Mercedes engineers, and this video is packed with fascinating info start to finish (okay, nerd's opinion). Hope you enjoy!

I’ve rarely been so happy in video haha. The thing’s just amazing.
F-Type was also the first car that I learned automatics can be great (still believe prior to ZF 8-speed, this was not true).
Farewell to one of the greats! 🫡
“What’s your favorite car?” folks commonly ask.
Instinctually, the first three things that always pop in my head (“most fun”) are Mazda Miata, Shelby GT350, and Jaguar F-Type.
F-Type is sketch, but hilariously fun.
Jaguar's future is electric, and that means the V-8-powered F-Type needs to go. https://motorauthority.com/news/1138409_2024-jaguar-f-type-revealed-price?taid=63bee8ce3c358a00016e7d08&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+New+Content+%28Feed%29&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter…
Okay humble brag (and it’s not flying private level ballin) but getting transferred directly from your connecting flight to the Delta lounge in a Porsche Panamera is pretty wild.
“Moderna CEO: 400% price hike on COVID vaccine ‘consistent with the value’”
Engineering Explained CEO: “My channel is free to watch, consistent with the value.” 🙃
NEW: Moderna is planning to increase the price of its Covid vaccine over 400%.
After U.S. taxpayers contributed $1 billion to the development of the vaccine, the company is gouging taxpayers to make shareholders rich.
HHS must step in to lower the price of this lifesaving drug.
Btw, I think adaptive cruise is great! Pretty confident every non-Tesla I've driven with it also has the option to switch to basic cruise control. Bc that makes sense.
I only recently discovered that new Teslas don't have "dumb" cruise control (rather than adaptive cruise). I've heard a lot of complaints about phantom breaking, and have never had to deal with it bc my car is "dumb" and doesn't have autopilot. Seems silly to exclude it.
I obtained surveillance footage of the self-driving Tesla that abruptly stopped on the Bay Bridge, resulting in an eight-vehicle crash that injured 9 people including a 2 yr old child just hours after Musk announced the self-driving feature.

This will never not break my brain:
- Company makes electric car.
- Company makes charging network.
- Company does not navigate electric car to charging network.
Brain. 🧠 Kablooey. 💥
Are there apps that can fix this? Yes.
Are there people who have no desire to use an app? Yes.
While cars should be developed for specific use cases, they shouldn't alienate people based on their technical capabilities.
Will happen some point, but never could I recommend this vehicle to someone who isn't tech savvy, there are so many options that don't make nav so frustrating. When I used it in '21, it told me to charge for 9 hrs in a city hall parking lot, w/ EAs nearby.
EVs are not straightforward, but they can be. When I reviewed the ID.4 nearly two years ago, I was shocked that it wouldn't automatically navigate to VW's own chargers (EA) - so I yelled about it in a 17 min video.
VW told me it was coming Fall 2021. 🧵
When EQS debuted, it had the lowest drag coefficient of any production car, with a Cd of just 0.20. There's debate at what Cd something stops looking like a car, but 0.20 gets pretty close to that point.
What y’all playing on steam deck? Thinking Forza Horizon 5, God of War, and Stray (lol) to get things started. Basically only game on planes (so needs to be offline compatible).
Combustion engines are so inefficient that they can quickly bring themselves up to an efficient* operating temp using a bunch of wasted heat.
And by efficient*, we're talking on a scale that realistically goes from "unbelievably bad efficiency" to "wow that's still really bad."
Tesla Semi Part 2! A stupid amount of research in attempts to get this right - one of the perks of spacing out my videos a bit more.
