    I'm not , but I just read this medium essay, and this statement of Truth jumped out at me: "Also, and this is important, do not talk to cops." It's something I've heard from EVERYONE who has any authority to advise on the topic of working with LEOs.

    Just once can I read a news headline about our government doing something kind, something just, something good to remedy deep-rooted bigotry & discrimination. Just once. Many of my neighbors are under a relentless hammer of hate & scorn & apathy. We don’t have to be this way

    For the umpteenth time: There’s a huge difference between honoring historical figures in spite of their sins (Washington, Jefferson, etc.), and honoring historical figures because of their sins (Lee, Davis, Forrest, etc.).

    Love this story. My daughter and I were just debating, and I learned that we are working with different definitions of racism. Mine is certainly too old. Thanks - what you did is important! Keep up the good work!

    How is the County going to move these numbers in the opposite direction? Do they know something that we don't know?

    In the last 5 days, the county has set a new all-time daily active case record every day. Reopening more businesses is inconsistent with the reality our community is currently facing.

    This is super helpful. is officially investigating social media for LAPD violence. I was sending these 1 at a time to them but this centralized source is so much more efficient/strategic. Incredibly important work.
