It's "annual personal review" season! Lots of people are writing about setting their 2020 goals, or looking back on what worked or didn't in 2019.
Those practices are cool, but in this thread, tell me—what's the most _unusual_ "annual review" practice you enjoy?

It's pretty subjective. But I noticed it roughly corresponds to how NPS is scored. 9 or 10 are really good and what you want to aim for, 7 or 8 is ok but not great, and anything 6 or below is bad / should be considered a problem

In my best year ever (my only 10), I: • Quit a job I disliked • Founded a startup based on an idea I was obsessed with • Got engaged • Really improved my sleep & exercise habits • Visited India for the first time

The 5s and 6s were years where I was miserable about something in my career or love life for 3+ months (In my 30s that was from startups not working out. In my 20s it came from being involved in love triangles, which incidentally I do not recommend)

Love the idea
@jasoncrawford . Do you look over events “rationally” or take a gut-level rating? Do you control for peak-end effects etc etc? -
It's pretty gut level but I do think about how I felt about my career, love life, health, and other major values and life goals
