My biggest question would be how this would affect projects like my own. What the implications are with data that is global in nature but aggregated / collected by U.S. companies. There's a lot of "what-ifs" to be investigated.
1) Does this apply to data collected by companies located worldwide or does this only apply to European based organizations (or organizations with a presence in Europe)
2) Does this protect U.S. citizens data if the data can be viewed / used in Europe?
