I have come across the same thing. Always check people's credentials. Pretty much every professional is listed on a university/organization website. Always ask questions and always double check.

a group of us have been watching Agung for 3 months or so. We even had a girl on there pretending to be a volcanologist. Good thing the owners of the stream started pinging her location and found her to be in Germany not onsite in Bali. Unbelievable
