I'm already wondering if reading the digital version on Jan 9 (when it's released) is worth waiting or if I should try to buy a dead-tree version today.

Amazon is actually releasing it via kindle at 9am today. They moved it up.

My bookshelf used to be littered with "books of the moment" that I purchased to stay within the news commentary. (The kind that get published about every President) but 3 months after publication they kind of "expire" because there's new information every month. I love eBooks.

I'll probably still end up buying a hard-cover copy of this book because I have the feeling decades from now, this will be a historically significant piece of work.

I feel like these kinds of books are the magazine articles of our era. They are very long timely stories, but not necessarily books that have long-lasting resonance.

True -- but we'll find out soon enough if this one is special. I'm really looking forward to getting more insight into the Trump administration. Wolff had previously ripped apart Rupert Murdoch in a previous publication. We'll know soon enough!
