This is a great piece, but I feel it would be more rounded if you also touched on mathematics. In particular, Grigori Perelman solved the Poincaré conjecture and then refused the one million dollar reward (Clay Millenium Prize). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grigori_Perelman…
