For projects which would benefit for such a powerful server, it might have to compete with current cloud offerings (especially Google’s ML products)

My goal for this is to:
a) Give researchers a free but powerful resource to do data analysis.
b) Get people in the data science community to share scripts, ideas, visualizations and grow a common repository on the server
c) Get more people engaged in data science

You may want to look into containerization if you want to make the hardware widely usable by multiple users. (Or run k8s on the host itself)

Great idea about the containers! I would like to keep a common area for developers / researchers to share scripts, data, etc. Thanks for your suggestions. Once I get something in place, I'll send you an invite!
