Can the bike power / charge the laptop? That would be really cool. There was an exhibit at the science center in Baltimore where you could see how many 60 watt light bulbs you could light up. It takes a lot of effort to get them lit up!

Humans can definitely generate enough watts to power a macbook and add power to the battery over time. The Macbook pro battery is a 54.5 watt hour lithium ion. A good mean estimate is 100 watt hours for most people, more for pros.
