This is FM 517, about a block away from Dickinson Bayou. Most of the flooding in Dickinson is from the overflow of the bayou.

Pretty much the same thing happened in 1979 as a result of T.S. Claudette. It's deja vu all over again.

Claudette was before my time. Did it look this bad?
It was bad. A car dealer farther from the bayou than this had water in its lot up to the cars' door handles. This bayou floods easily.
