How about the crazy idea that softcore sex scenes do zero to add to a show? I literally get annoyed and fast forward through them. I just don't get the allure.

It's like America hasn't noticed that Korean and Chinese shows are so popular nowadays because they rely on crafted storytelling and emotional nuance instead. Hollywood is obsessed with the idea sex and violence sell—even in the face of growing proof it doesn't really, globally.

Wasn't Squid Game a Korean show? I consider that pretty violent. It isn't just a US thing.
