Devops of Twitter -- do you think we've reached a point where we try to use Docker / Kubernetes in situations where they really provide no benefit? I often see orgs trying to slam a square peg in a round hole just because "DOCKER! Yay!! Must use Docker!!"

I’m very much still a “manually SSH into the server and do stuff” guy. Should I be using Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, or something else?

I honestly haven't used Docker much since we used it heavily back in 2015/2016 when I worked at NDI. Has Docker improved a lot since then? I might have to get back into it since a lot of what I do requires mass deploys of the same running code, etc.

If you had to pick between Docker and Kubernetes, which would you use?
Unless you need some of the extra features of using Kubernetes you are introducing a lot of extra complexity to your stack compared to using just docker or docker swarm that most devs are able to wrap their heads around quite quickly.
