People who gave (yes gave) their crypto to this company will most likely never see their crypto again. There is now 0 confidence in the company so what will immediately happen when they enable withdrawals? There will be a huge run on their deposits and they will have to shut down

This is just a hard lesson learned for everyone involved that if you don't own the keys, you don't own the crypto. Don't give someone else your crypto because this kind of stuff has happened and will continue to happen in the future.
The money is gone. Time to move on.
