Yeah, I'm getting old -- but damn it was a different world in the early 80s when I was a kid. The fear of getting shot at school just wasn't a thing. It is pure madness that kids today have to do "lockdown drills" -- why do we tolerate this bullshit from certain politicians?

Do any of us really want to live in a society where we're constantly in fear of our lives just from going to the grocery store or public event? It doesn't have to be this way.

I can’t believe we are growing nostalgic for the 80s. You probably were too young, or lived too far, to remember the crack epidemic that decimated entire communities.
