Could someone quickly explain to me why Belarus is involved in this? Is Belarus basically a puppet state now? That kind of threw me for a loop but I don't follow geopolitics in that area as much.

“Is Belarus basically a puppet state now?” - kind of always has been. Minsk (which I have never been to, but I have family members who have) is regarded as the “most Soviet city” in former USSR. Lukanhesko was nearly driven out of office and his Baltic neighbors despise him

Ahhh thanks! I heard tanks were rolling in from Belarus into Ukraine. So now forces are invading from Russia, Crimea, Belarus, ... Jesus this is so horrible.

Since Belarus is still managed by Lukashenko, Putin's "friend", he provided Putin a different from Donetsk&Lugansk area to invade from. Still, no luck, Russians tried to invade from there and returned back.
